OpenResourceDialog is very convenient and I use it everyday to open resources.

However it would be great to be able to use it to locate a resource in the navigator in order to do other actions on it like "Show history".

One way to do it with current eclipse feature is to open the resource in the editor to synchronize the explorer with the editor and then to do the action.

However this doesn't work for files that can only be edited outside of eclipse (like most binaries or files format for which an eclipse plugin doesn't exist).

Reproducible: Always
