Select an unstaged file, Team > Commit. The unstaged file is not preselected in the commit dialog, this is the case for staged files. We should streamline the selection in the commit dialog to always select the files I selected for commiting.

Tried this with unstaged file using EGit 1.0 and it behaves exactly like you described. I.e. if unstaged file is in selection it will be checked in the commit dialog's file list.
