DND copy and move both do not work at all when dragging from the Navigator to
the Solaris file manager.

Do you get "No drop" feedback when you attempt to drag from Eclipse?
Solaris likely does not understand the transfer type used by SWT. The Navigator 
specifies FileTransfer.

Yes I do get "no drop" feedback when dragging from eclipse to the file manager.

Solaris is no longer a supported platform.
