Description

I hit this myself, but I _think_ (and someone should confirm) that an even better workaround is to check the "Auto Share Projects" option in Preferences -> Team -> Git -> Projects. Once I checked this, then used the "import maven projects" option, they showed as shared without any additional effort. Per your suggestion, I wanted to try it out myself, however, I don't see such an option in the preferences. Can you share which egit version you currently have installed? Auto-sharing was added in recently released EGit 1.2 according to [1]. I think it's fair to close this issue as WORKSFORME now (besides, m2e/egit is not part of m2e project, so eclipse bugzilla was not the right place for this feature request).
