Description Karsten Thoms CLA 2011-05-16 09:30:49 EDT
When opening a file with known DSL extension for a project that has no Xtext nature, the dialog pops up and asks to add the nature to the project. However, if you really decide *not* to add it for some reason, the popup should not appear again.

In my example I am having a documentation project into which I copy some Xtend files. They are only for documentation purpose, and the doc project is not intended to be Xtext enabled. The popup occurs again and again, which is pretty annoying then.

One remark: The default strategy for Xtext languages should have the mentioned 'remember decision'-checkbox in the dialog. However, for Xtend there's no dialog at all, so there's no way to provide the checkbox.

I true agree that the option not to add the Xtext nature should be remembered! It's extremely annoying that I have to say "no" whenever I open the same file again and again.

Fixed for 2.8.0
The Language root preference page now has a new "clear all 'Remeber my decision' settings..." button. That is used to unhide the hidden dialogs.
