As of bug 340627 an OperationCancelledException should be thrown.
The currently thrown RuntimeException leads to error log entries.

fixed with
33819dd00e9869881552c4ec434fa251e69b9f6a

using haveDoneChanges() everywhere, no exception needed anymore
(btw. it should read OperationCanceledException)
