Given that the export needs to consult the repositories to create the p2f file, it would be good to preload the repositories when the wizard gets opened such that when the user is ready to click finish most repos are already loaded.
We do a similar trick in the standard Install dialog, so we should just copy the code from there.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
