This is not the comparator log ;-)

Release == Team > Release...
This is usually enough to satisfy the comparator as we only need the bytes to be rebuilt.

Is there anyway the releng tools could account for this and warn us that we need to retag a feature?

I don't think so. AFAIK the comparator looks at the bytes generated by the build.

This looks like a false positive in the comparator, I found bug 330006 comment #2,
