Description Romain Guider CLA 2011-05-02 11:49:43 EDT
Build Identifier: 20100917-0705

When giving the name of a view in Repository <...>/Category<...>/View, if a character that isn't allowed in a java identifier (excepted for the space character) appears in the name, it appears in some java identifier that are generated. Either the validator should report that or the mangling should turn such characters in java identifier legal ones.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Initialize an EEF model following the EEF's first generation tutorial
2. Change a view name by introducing '/' in it
3. Generate EEF's architecture

The Eclipse EEF team has worked over the past few months on a brand new runtime using a reflective approach which can be used more easily with Eclipse Sirius. Since we do not plan to continue to work on the old runtime and its code generation approach, I will close this issue for now.

If you want to contribute, you can reopen this issue and submit a contribution to the project thanks to our Gerrit: https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/admin/projects/eef/org.eclipse.eef
