I think users might appreciate a hint or brief description on palette items.  Especially for new users or the when the names are not sufficient. 

When you hover over a palette item, a tooltip should come up describing the palette item.  A brief description or hint will help users determine the purpose of the available palette items.

This is already possible in the framework. Please open bugs on cases where description is missing.
