If I want to work with Eclipse on Linux amd64 (Ubuntu 10.10), every second or third save attempt let Eclipse completely freeze.
I run it with Sun Java 6 (1.6.0.24). I can only kill Eclipse otherwise, there's no option.
I tried the packaged version (via Ubuntu repositories) and the current 3.6 release. Both version show the same issue. I attach a dump file I created via kill -QUIT

Reproducible: Always

The first thing I can see in the stack trace is that net.sourceforge.texlipse is
trying to syncExec during reconciling, which sounds like a dangerous thing to me.
Could you try running without that plug-in and report back if the freezes still occur?
