Bug 344060

Summary: ${selected_resource_location} is not consistently populated
Product: [Tools] CDT Reporter: Matt Hargett <matt>
Component: cdt-buildAssignee: cdt-build-inbox <cdt-build-inbox>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE QA Contact: Andrew Gvozdev <angvoz.dev>
Severity: normal
Priority: P3 CC: cdtdoug
Version: 8.0
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Whiteboard:

Description Matt Hargett CLA 2011-04-27 19:28:37 EDT
Build Identifier: 201104150807

selected_resource_location is not consistently populated; instead of relying upon the current select in Project Explorer, or the currently active editor tab, it appears to rely upon currently active focus. This causes a custom build command triggered via Control+B to break. (Custom tool invocation is also affected.)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a Makefile project workspace, open a source file in the editor
2. make changes to the source file
3. click in a different tab (like problems or console)
4. press control+B

That is exactly the reason why the variable is not supported.
