Helios SR1 was having a conniption about some NPEs, so I decided to upgrade to SR2.

I moved all my project workspaces to an "old workspaces" folder, and removed the old eclipse version.

I installed the new Helios SR2 and pointed it to a new workspaces folder which was completely empty.

I selected File->Import->... Existing Projects into Workspace. I selected all of the projects in the old workspace, and selected to copy them into the new workspace.

Partway through, on an MQ project, the import failed, repeating that the MQ project already existed. Mind you, it didn't before the import - so it would appear that for some reason, Helios decided it was going to import this one twice.

I tried to click the error dialog away, but it popped up each time I clicked the "Finish" button, and the import failed for the remainder of the projects in the list.

I closed the file import dialog, as clicking "Finish" would not finish the job, and then re-ran the import for the remainder of the projects. That was successful.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have Helios SR1 installed with multiple projects (>5) in a workspace
2. copy the workspace over to another location
3. remove helios sr1
4. install helios sr2
5. create a new workspace folder (like c:\eclipse-workspaces)
6. start helios sr2 and open the workspace created in step 5
7. attempt to import all of the projects in the old workspace

I'm not able to reproduce this. Do you have any errors in the Error Log?
Comment 2 Dani Megert CLA 2011-06-06 07:02:24 EDT
You talk about "old workspaces" and "old workspace" folder. Maybe you selected the folder with all old workspaces and hence the conflicts?

If not, can you try to provide a self-contained test case?

I'm not able to reproduce. If the problem persists, please reopen with a sample workspace.
