Description Benjamin Muskalla CLA 2011-04-18 14:57:42 EDT
Not only structured selections but also text selections should be taken into account when working with EMF resources to fill the context.

I'm not sure I understand this, but I don't think that's the case. We'll be identifying to the structural feature level -- analagous field name -- so that seems like enough level of detail. Does that make sense to you, Benny?

Yes. The bug is about identify the right model element in case you're editing your files by hand (think of it like with the Java bridge - you edit a method and the bridge will add the corresponding IMethod to the context). Not sure if this is worth for EMF based stuff - does one ever use the text editor to edit ecore files (besides Ed)?

No, no sane person does that. :) I don't think even Ed edits the raw xml. But seriously, Emfatic would be a good target, and DSLs / XText integration in general is a great future Mylyn context but not really part of this story.
