On the Remote UI, I would like to perform Merge operation. To do it, I would need to get a reference (URI) to HEAD of checked out local branch from a remote branch object i.e. http://localhost:8080/git/remote/[remote]/[branch]/[repoId]

Fixed with http://git.eclipse.org/c/e4/org.eclipse.orion.server.git/commit/?id=1bdc5f36aaaff8992a36da22fa0d11d57f4e4c96.

Look for "HeadLocation" node in a response from http://localhost:8080/git/remote/{remote}/{branch}/...
