The m2e discovery catalog items are now described in org.eclipse.m2e.discovery-directory\org.eclipse.m2e.discovery.oss\connectors.xml.

The catalog items can be described as:
- p2 installable unit in a p2 repository - multiple osgi bundles can be refrenced from the same catalog item
- osgi bundle referenced as maven artifact
- simple lifecycle-mapping-metadata.xml files referenced as maven artifacts - to be used for catalog items that don't require any java code
