it looks that i always have to go to the menu bar and choose from there
the old dialog was ugly but this is worse because it vastly usefulness of this 
feature

You can use mnemonics: Alt+N W.
Reconsider use of submenu for 2.2.

instead of using a dialog the intent is to use a normal context menu that is 
triggered by a short cut
