I would like to know the type of the property or method represented by a DatabaseMapping but there is not DatabaseMapping.getType() : Class<?>. And also to know the generic type with DatabaseMapping.getGenericType() : Type. In order to know the type of most mappings, I have to check many things (aggregate, container policy, attribute accessor, method accessor). I think that behavior should be encapsulated in each mapping.
