Steps for replicating the problem
1. Create a new CCS project for MSP430
2. Select Empty RTSC Project, and in the RTSC tab the generic msp430 platform with the previously selected device will be used by default. Choose any other available platform instead of the generic one and finish building the project.
3. After the project is created go to Build Properties->CCS Build->RTSC
4. Try to choose a platform again. The generic platform is not available anymore.
