CCing the Acceleo team since I got this error using Acceleo. Hi Nicolas, This is indeed provoked by Acceleo, but has already been fixed. Please update Acceleo and check whether you still reproduce. Closing as per last comment. I got this error again today with: Acceleo 3.1.0.v20110401-0833 which is the latest nightly from the Acceleo update site. Reassigning to M2T/Acceleo Nicolas, Could you provide us with steps to reproduce? We haven't observed this error since fixing it. (In reply to comment #6) > Could you provide us with steps to reproduce? With the attached project: - Create a new launch configuration of type "Acceleo Application" - set Project = org.eclipse.modisco.java.discoverer.benchmark - set Main Class = org.eclipse.modisco.java.discoverer.benchmark.template.html.HtmlReport2 - set Main Class = org.eclipse.modisco.java.discoverer.benchmark.template.html.HtmlReport2 - set Model = /org.eclipse.modisco.java.discoverer.benchmark/javabench.xmi - set Target = /org.eclipse.modisco.java.discoverer.benchmark - set Runner = Acceleo Plug-in Application - click Run The error happens every time. I tried the project that is in the attachment of this bug entry and I couldn't reproduce the problem with the latest nightly build of Acceleo taken from the hudson build. I'll be interested to see if you can reproduce the problem with the M7 release next week. If you can, could you provide us more details like what is in your workspace or the other plugins that are installed (in relation with this project). Created attachment 198224 [details]
Another avalanche of error messages
Still present in RC4. Problems go away by selecting the Java launch.
Amongst other interesting capabilities is that running an Acceleo app closes an editor and then leaves the Open With dialog for that editor empty so that the file is uneditable.
Originally I thought that this was an OCL editor with Xtext, but it reproduced on the text editor.
Given that this impacts on the rest of the Eclipse platform, I feel this should be major. My actual config was RC4 Modeling EPP plus Acceleo, Papyrus, OCL Examples, Xtext from discover and SVN and a GIT repo. I uninstalled Papyrus to no effect. My active projects were the org.eclipse.ocl.examples.xtext.* plugins and dependencies changed to have a different URI for the pivot model (avoiding a different Acceleo bug). I've just experienced this again on a generally 4.2M2 config with Acceleo N201109140523. In trying to create a simple repro, I instead end up reproducing Bug 310756 and raising Bug 358950. The plugin launch is no longer available since mars. |
Created attachment 192835 [details] stacktrace When trying to launch an "Acceleo Application" (with the runner "Acceleo Plug-in Application), I received an avalanche of error messages "Error notifying registry change listener." (see attached stacktrace) from org.eclipse.core.runtime. I had to force-quit Eclipse because I couldn't get rid of the error dialog that kept reappearing with more errors. eclipse.buildId=I20110310-1119
