Attachments should be downloaded in the background from the task editor. At least for individual attachments there is a progress dialog and you can cancel, but when comparing 2 attachments you don't even get that - Eclipse just freezes until the download is done (which takes *way* too long by the way: comparing 2 800 _byte_ xml files takes 45 seconds!!!).

Agreed, the current solution that blocks the UI is not optimal.
