Description DJ Houghton CLA 2011-04-05 14:07:20 EDT
Created attachment 192585 [details]
sample product

Version: 4.1.0
Build id: I20110331-2200

(also tested against today's i-build)

- created an RCP product
- exported it using the Product Export Wizard
- if "generate metadata repository" is unchecked, then you don't get an executable or configuration folder

It turns out this was because my product id was the same as my bundle id (and the versions were both 1.0) So when we did the install part of the export, we installed the bundle instead of the product.

If we change the product id so it isn't conflicting, then it is ok.

This is a request to mark this scenario as a visible error or warning to the user. Either as a problem in the Problems view or a visible indication in the Product editor.

I've attached my sample product so you can test it locally.
