Currently the dependency on BIRT states 2.2.2 or later. In order to fix some issues it is necessary to use BIRT 2.3 API. This is still a very old version of BIRT but is the current minimum requirement.

Pete, thanks for the patch!
It's fine to update the required version. Actually we build the RCPs with 2.6 I think, so having this minimal requirement is fine.
