Description Remy Suen CLA 2011-04-01 16:24:51 EDT
The org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/images/TrimStack.png image shows a 'Problems' view with a filter tool item. I thought it was a bug at first (maybe it was showing the 'Properties' view's toolbar instead). I guess this is probably a pre-3.4 image or something.

Same in this image as well: minmaxOptions.png

I guess these images were not updated for a while.

(*) Tasks view with the filter and another toolitem as seen in Image1.png, Image2_active_view.png, Image2_active_editor.png, Image55_reset.png, detachview2.png, Image5_text_editor.png and all other places. There are no such tool items now.

(*) Navigator is deprecated and will not be shown in Image4_showview.png

(*) In 3.6, we updated progress view icon. Not updated in (Image4_showview.png, ast_view_menu.png

(*) Also, if we need to know the workspace folder, we don't have to do all the Jedi tricks as explained in here: org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/gettingStarted/qs-13.htm Preferences->General->Startup and Shutdown->Workspaces would help. This was introduced in 3.5, if I remember correctly

(*) Image43_export_tree.png and Image266_export_zip.png, "Select Types" button is now "Filter types". Good that Image39_import_tree.png already contains that change

(*) There is no delete on the Bookmark view's toolbar: org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/gettingStarted/qs-37-3f.htm

(*)Image71_pers_reset.png and Image71_pers_pref.png doesn't have the "hide empty fast view bar" checkbox Image223_pref_persp.png has it though

(*) Image218_pref_app.png "Enable Colored labels" is changed to "Use mixed colors and fonts for labels"

(*) Image217_pref_wb.png checkbox text for "Keep next ..." has changed

(*) prbfil.png This dialog is now revamped in 3,7.

(*) Image262_import_preferences.png has been revamped in 3.6. Updated needed here as well: preference-transfer-compiler.png

(*) Image266_export_preferences.png also has been revamped in 3.6

The Platform UI team maintains these documents, setting component to Platform UI.

I need someone to take screenshots in Win XP. Any volunteers?

Are all the ones you listed in comment 1 for Windows or are some of those for other platforms?

All of them needed to be in the same platform for consistency. There was a discussion in the cross-platform/some other list (couldn't find the link now), where it was decided that we need to have all the screenshots in the same platform to have consistency.

Okay, I was just wondering if any of the stuff you listed in comment 1 were platform-specific features but I'll take that as a "no". I'll take new screenshots during the RC phase.

Or not...since we don't have RC milestones available for use.

I was halfway through updating these when I noticed the vast majority of the screenshots seem to be taken without ClearType. I'll have to get clarification regarding our stance on this matter.

Actually, the documentation guidelines appear to suggest that the smoothing of edges for screen fonts should be turned off.

The updated images were supposedly tagged but they don't appear to be showing up in the help.

They do for me (I only checked Image5_text_editor.png in I20110512-2000). Maybe an update problem on your side?

You're right, Image5_text_editor.png is okay.

I only checked detachview2.png and it was bad bad. It seems there is images/detachview2.png and tips/images/detachview2.png. I was looking at the wrong page so it seems tips/images/detachview2.png also has to be updated.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got
resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some
reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it.
The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you
still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is
(for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the stalebug whiteboard tag.
