Description Robert Munteanu CLA 2011-04-01 05:10:46 EDT
The new hover affordance sometimes appears for more than one element. It appears to do so for immediate neighbours ( not necessarily neighbours when unfocused ).

This happens for me when running Gnome 2.32, GTK2 2.20.2 , OpenSUSE 11.4 64bit .

Comment 3 Steffen Pingel CLA 2011-04-01 12:35:37 EDT
Thanks Robert. Do you see this frequently or only in certain circumstances?
Comment 4 Robert Munteanu CLA 2011-04-02 06:01:34 EDT
I see this rather frequently, but only on Gnome, as KDE works just fine.
Comment 5 Sam Davis CLA 2011-04-04 12:03:49 EDT
On Windows, I have seen the affordance appear over multiple elements, and not only for adjacent elements. What was happening for me was that the affordance would appear over one element and not be erased when I hovered over a different one. This only happened on one or two occaisions. But it sounds like Robert is seeing something different, that the affordance is simultaneously appearing over multiple elements when hovering over one of them.
Comment 6 Shawn Minto CLA 2011-05-06 18:17:12 EDT
We have found a way to reproduce this on Windows. If the package explorer is narrow and scrolled horizontally, then it seems that there is some case where it doesn't get erased properly. I will investigate a fix for this. Robert, do you know if the package explorer is scrolled?
Comment 7 Robert Munteanu CLA 2011-05-09 10:53:20 EDT
I can reproduce this without any horizontal scrolling involved in both the Package Explorer and the Navigator ( TT ) views.
Comment 8 Steffen Pingel CLA 2011-09-07 18:46:29 EDT
Timed out. Deferring to next maintenance release.
Comment 9 Steffen Pingel CLA 2012-02-17 05:45:31 EST
Sorry, we didn't get around to this. I am putting as a high priority item on the backlog.
