If you use the documentation tab in the properties view for an XSD it will by default write everything on one line. But if you then format the file the line will be broken up and tabbed in to match the XML formatter settings. That will in turn make the text in the properties view look strange.

In my opinion the view should just ignore extra white space. Although I guess it needs to preserve the line breaks as there is no way of knowing if they are intentional or not.

The view will not format the text or will not remove any extraneous white spaces.  It'll show the text as is.
