Description
Eclipse Webmaster
Nathan, does this mean anything to you? I don't feel very strongly about this. If it's an easy fix I can see the value, however. (In reply to comment #1) > Nathan, does this mean anything to you? I don't feel very strongly about > this. If it's an easy fix I can see the value, however. This is an easy fix. We could fix this bug by adding something similar to this in visual.css a:visited{ color#000; } pros : you can visually see all the page you visited cons : It does have an affect to the overall look and feel of the site because now you have links with 2 different colors. Maybe we need to chose a color that goes well with the purple link to make them blend together... Should we change this to wont fix or should I patch nova? Is this something we want for solstice? pros : you can visually see all the page you visited cons : It does have an affect to the overall look and feel of the site because now you have links with 2 different colors. Maybe we need to chose a color that goes well with the purple link to make them blend together... Eddie, I am curious where you stand here. Visited link styles is useful for sites with a bunch of links like google, reddit but I am not sure we want this for eclipse.org. I think we might want this some some sites, planeteclipse.org is a good example. I have no strong preference. I think if we decide to do this, the visited links colour should be of the exact same hue, simply lighter or darker so that we do not introduce another colour. I'm leaning towards 'no' for the new solstice theme. I agree with Chris' point on sites with many links like Reddit, but for us this would create inconsistencies with our links (What about the grey footer links or the clickable circles in our banner?). Also, it would look strange with our clickable header titles as they are pretty big (see the Announcements and Community News). WONTFIX it is. |
