I'm closing this as wontfix for two reasons: 1. The use case is, in my opinion, untypical. It requires that I have specified a central data set on the specification of my test case and want to use another data type (i.e. Excel or simply added data) when I reuse the Test Case. If a Test Case has a central data set added at its specification, I would argue that this data is either a) always valid or b) only likely to be switched with another dataset, which works without a problem. 2. If I have more than one dataset that is valid in terms of parameters, then the change can indeed be made. |
Created attachment 191522 [details] screenshot of Test Suite Editor and Properties View in a situation where the Central Test Data Set reference cannot be removed Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a Test Case and assign it a Central Test Data Set. 2. Reference the created Test Case in a Test Suite. 3. Select the Test Case Reference in the Test Suite Editor. 4. Remove the Central Test Data Set reference using the Properties View (click in the cell, delete the text in the cell, and press enter). The editor is marked as dirty, but the Central Test Data Set reference is not removed.
