To reproduce:
Using Eclipse Helios - RCP

Create a new Plugin project.
Extension points work as they should, and on right-click on an extension point (like perspectives) the "new" item gets the perspective option. Also the schema for the extension point is found.

Install m2eclipse
Extension points only have the new > Generic option and schemas aren't found

Uninstall m2eclipse
Problem persists

What m2e version are you using? Are you able to reproduce the problem with recent 0.13 build, from 3.7M6 for example?

I am not able to reproduce the problem using m2e 0.13 rc1 build. Please reopen if you still see the problem but make sure to provide your eclipse configuration details and sample project and steps we can use to reproduce the problem
