It would be nice to be able to optionally trim trailing whitespace from source 
lines when the file is saved.  This would be especially useful in light of the 
fact that the auto-indent feature often leaves trailing whitespace.

Agreed.  I must've missed it because I looked for bugs with 
keywords "whitespace" and "blanks" before opening this.

Feel free to squash this one!
