when i try to migrate an acceleo 2 comment <%-- xxxxx --%> to acceleo 3, the following code [-- xxxx --/] compiles

To develop, such code should not compile in Acceleo 3; currently, the compilation won't report a single issue, and the evaluation will fail in an UnsupportedOperationException thrown from deep within OCL.
