Description Thomas Hallgren CLA 2011-03-14 03:56:18 EDT
I'm unable to install features from referenced repositories. The command below will always fail with the error given since our subclipse repository is in a repository referenced by the one passed on the command line. When I add the referenced repository with -r <repo>, the command succeeds.

My guess is that referenced repositories are consulted by the planner but not when resolving the roots that are passed on the command line. Perhaps that's per design but I haven't found any documentation to back that up.

<eclipse home>/eclipse \
-application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director \
-nosplash \
-followReferences \
-r http://download.eclipse.org/tools/buckminster/headless-3.7 \
-i org.eclipse.buckminster.cmdline.product \
-i org.eclipse.buckminster.core.headless.feature.feature.group \
-i org.eclipse.buckminster.subclipse.headless.feature.feature.group \
-d /tmp/buckminster \
-profile Buckminster

Installation failed.
The installable unit org.eclipse.buckminster.subclipse.headless.feature.feature.group has not been found.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
