Description

You should be able to do this with the following command: cvs -d /cvsroot/modeling rtag -d R3_1_maintenance org.eclipse.mdt/org.eclipse.ocl if you're logged in to dev.eclipse.org. -M. Finally plucked up courage to give this a try. I got warning messages about branch tags not being removed. It's a branch tag so I think I need -B, but the manual says to think again and ask my administrator. Is it ok to go ahead with a -B too? I presume the -B goes in as cvs -d /cvsroot/modeling rtag -B -d R3_1_maintenance org.eclipse.mdt/org.eclipse.ocl Well Google provided a site with the following example. cvs rtag -d -B <tag/branch name> <module name> Frankly working with tags in CVS has always been 'problematic' in my experience. I suggest you make a backup and then try this. Worst case I can get it from tape. -M. Ed, has this been resolved? (In reply to comment #4) > Ed, has this been resolved? Obsoleted by migration to GIT. |
