On my first visit to the editor, opening a relatively large js file, the "Fetching /file/..." message was partially covered by the line number ruler.

Subsequent visits to the editor did not have this problem.

See attached screenshot.
I saw this in both Firefox 3.6.13 and Chrome 6.0.472.63

Yes, I have seen this problem. It happens because the markers ruler is changing size and the editor does not see that. Initially the ruler is small because the problem image is not cached (unknown size). Once the image is loaded the ruler gets wide. The problem will not happen again unless the browser cache is cleared.

This can be reproduced in Windows/Chrome for every new tab pointing to, for example:
http://orion.eclipse.org/examples/editor/embeddededitor.html

resizing, refreshing or typing makes the problem go away.

This is fixed in latest because the annotation rulers have fixed size now.
