The perspective buttons take up so much space that I don't like to have too many perspectives open, otherwise I have to use the dropdown menu to switch perspectives. It would be nice to have an option to only show the icons on the buttons, not the text labels, as that would save a lot of space.

Use the context menu and tell it not to show text.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't see that! Thanks.

Actually, the text gets toggled back on when I change perspectives.

Which build are you using? What steps were you doing when you saw this? Switching with CTRL+F8?

I am running bootstrapped and I do not have this problem in my base workspace. It seems to be causd by something I am bootstrapping on, so I am marking this resolved.
