I find the tooltips in git-status to be a bit confusing.
Suggest following changes.

"Item type: Modified unstaged"  -> remove tooltip
"Item type: Modified staged"  -> remove tooltip
"Stage modified" -> "Stage"
"Click to open two way compare"  -> "Side by side compare"

This would be good to do for M6, and should be a very safe change. Libing?
