Talked about this with Simon and John, and we decided it would be better to revisit this after M6 ships. For the instance that is going to run on orion.eclipse.org, we don't want to enable any remote Git operations. Also, even for the downloadable version of Orion, the current dialog is not intuitive enough (e.g. what to enter in "ssh known hosts"?) and users who are doing real work will have to use the command line client anyway.

Let's talk about how the UI for repository-level operations should work as soon as possible after M6.
