This exception appeared in my error log after clicking on Assume Unchanged.

The repository I cloned from is:
git://git.springsource.org/spring-ide/spring-ide.git

After cloning the repository:
* I imported the "/org.springframework.ide.eclipse.uaa" project
* I made a trivial edit to IUsageMonitor.java and saved
* Right click on the file and select "Assume Unchanged"

This caused the ClassCastException.  It looks like the operation eventually worked since the '>' went away.

Thanks for the report.

Out of curiosity, why did you select 'Assume Unchanged' as part of your workflow? I think the menu needs to be cleaned up a bit.

I was just evaluating egit to see what stage it is at.  So, there wasn't any real workflow really.  I just clicked on a menu item that seemed like it would do something interesting.  :)
