It seems these tests are broken since the initial code contribution but were never part of the test suite.

David, from my POV, the code works correct but the tests are broken. Please check again.

It seems that they weren't maintained correctly as the code evolved.  I've pushed a fixed version of these tests.

Builds are all green, closing this. (got the build mails, hudson currently down).
