Description

I like the idea of having a list of frequently used products and components. We could show them as the first couple items in the list and separate them from other items by --- similar to how the task-focused UI does that for content assist. A template mechanism for tasks could also work: Task skeletons would be saved to a list and new tasks could then be created with all field pre-populated with a single click. *** Bug 344748 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to comment #2) > *** Bug 344748 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (from tha bug) > The sorting in the task editor should follow the web UI (bug 236747). I do see > you point though and we should consider improvements for frequently selected > items. Let's collect these suggestions on bug 338459. The trouble is, they won't be frequently selected at first - they will never have been selected before. The most frequently selected will be the ones that were in use for the longest. So if we had some mechanism for selecting frequently used options, we'd have to make it consider new ones as frequently used, at least for target milestone and version. Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1]. We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub. [1] https://github.com/orgs/eclipse-mylyn |
