screenshot of the problem.

I have a dependency defined in the dependency management section of the pom. This dependency uses a variable to identify the version to be used.
When I hover over the element, I get a "jump to location" link but it does not work. Attached is a screenshot of the situation and the pom.

we should not identify expressions starting with "project." and "pom." as hyperlink-able.

Could you explain why? At first this sounded like a good idea :)

what I meant is that we shall not have hyperlink available for something we don't support.

project. and pom. and reflective meta properties derived from the pom model, sometimes the value is not really defined anywhere (but the superpom).. think project.build.outputDirectory..

then again there is project.build.encoding that starts with project. but is actually just a property. that's probably why I kept the project. stuff around..

${basedir} is something we don't want o hyperlink for sure.
