The parameters resultdir (for generated HTML & XML reports) and datadir (for external data files) are currently non-optional in the test executor.

As it is not necessary to generate HTML reports (test results are shown in the reporting perspective), and there may not be any data files, we should at least consider making these parameters optional.

We could also talk about removing them completely:
- HTML reports can also be generated from the reporting perspective after the test run
- Any data directories required for the test execution are saved in the workspace, which can be entered as a parameter for the test executor.

The following parameters / situations should also be looked at to clean up the test executor:

- username and password when using the embedded database (currently required but shouldn't be necessary).
- dbscheme shouldn't be necessary if there is only one scheme.

Closing this as invalid since the details it is based on are old:
- workspace is no longer necessary.

And because it mixes a great deal of things together. The idea to make resultsdir and datadir optional is still good, and we may look at that in an upcoming sprint.
