Description Susan McCourt CLA 2011-02-20 20:20:01 EST
We've pulled icons from multiple places (silk fam-fam, eclipse, roll your own) and they don't match well. I think that we might have some EPL'ed icons provided in the past by IBM for various eclipse projects (not just the platform).

I will take a pass to see what's out there and try to pick a more cohesive set.

Boris, do you recall if there are IP issues with using icons that were developed for a different top level project than Eclipse Platform?

If they come from a different top level project, we'd have to file a CQ for them. It's just a formality though.

To clarify, we can use icons from Eclipse Platform, JDT, and PDE without a CQ. If we take icons from, say, WTP, we'd have to file a CQ (probably one CQ per top-level project that we copy icons from).

I was able to find icons that were suitable that were all within Platform, JDT, PDE. For the most part, I retained the original icon names so we can track back to the originals if we need to show their origin.

However I couldn't bear to use the name "thread_view.gif" for a gear, so I renamed that one gear.gif. It is from debugger (same icon with better name in WTP but I didn't want to file a CQ).
