If I delete a project which is under git source control, I cannot commit that change with egit. 

Suggestions: 
* adding the "commit" command to the repository view on the "working directory" node or
* instead of deleting a project, provide a Team -> Remove in Context menu (as a wrapper for the "git rm" command)

Second approach has the disadvantage that people doing the deletion "wrong" are still lost.
