I am using the maven bundle plugin which provides a packaging type of bundle. My projects using this packaging type are not imported as java projects by m2e. This did work with the m2e from codehaus, so I don't know what is wrong.

For an example the Apache Aries project is located in svn at: https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/aries/trunk/

You need to have m2eclipse-tycho installed to work with projects with bundle packaging. We expect to automate discovery and installation of required m2e extensions by 0.13.0 M6. In the mean time, you can install compatible versions of all required components from https://www.sonatype.com/~ifedorenko/m2e4m2e/. I am able to import Aries using this build and all projects appear to have proper java nature and configuration. Unfortunately, repository.springsource.org times out on me, so I cannot tell for sure if everything else is working properly. 

Feel free to reopen this bug if you still see the problem with m2eclipse-tycho installed.
