The quick diff preferences allow choosing an SCM revision as the reference source. However, you must choose a specific SCM provider: CVS/SVN/Git

If the workspace contains projects using multiple SCM providers, then you can't have quick diff for the projects that don't match the selected provider in the preference.

There should be a preference that uses the revision from whatever SCM provider the project containing the file is configured for.

For someone who relies on the quickdiff, this effectively prevents mixing of SCM providers for code that is actively being worked on. This is a problem now working with Orion code which is stored in Git.
