Description Werner Keil CLA 2011-02-13 15:02:08 EST
Hi,
The version info for Eclipse UOMo was recently visible and I can see it even in some Babel lists, but there are no existing strings to translate, nor can I manually ad some.

Please assist where/how I can add the existing UOMo messages?
Although I would like them available at least for Helios, probably still Galileo, the Indigo messages would be the ideal future target, so importing into the best Eclipse version first is desired.

Thanks,
Werner

I tried to process the UOMo update site but ran into a problem.

Normally, Eclipse projects place their update sites at download.eclipse.org and we use "rsync.osuosl.org::eclipse/" as the rsync host to sync and extract the properties files.

However, UOMo's update site is located at http://www.eclipse.org/uomo/updates
We were not able to find the plugins.

Denis, is it normal to have update sites hosted at www.eclipse.org? Is there another rsync host you can suggest?

Werner, is it possible or easy to host the UOMo update site at download.eclipse.org instead?

The project is in incubation, R0.6 pending (and IP may take a while not for UOMo's sake, but for all the others currently lined up ;-) so I can't say, if the download.eclipse.org works already? I'd love to have the update site there.
Otherwise is there another way to explicitly import properties? They are also in Git of course and I could provide them in other archive form if that helped.

Thanks,
Werner

Kit is right. Downloadable content, including update sites, must be placed on the download server. You already have a directory there -- it was created as part of your project provisioning process.

Please see this document for more information on putting your download files in place:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/IT_Infrastructure_Doc#Downloads

Once they are there, they will propagate correctly.
