Description Jens G CLA 2011-02-08 09:49:22 EST
Build Identifier: 20100917-0705 (PDT 2.2.1.v20101001-2300-53184QAN4JBQgLYPWMLcXn6Na9Od)

If the cursor is placed exactly at the position before a string or a quotation mark (single or double, doesn't matter), every tab you type will be a real tabulator character. No matter what you set up for using spaces instead of tabs.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set up "Insert spaces for tabs" for general text editors and PHP editor.
2. Create a new PHP file (inside an arbitrary project).
3. Type some PHP code with a string and try to tab the string one step further to the right.
4. The typed tab(s) will not be spaces but a real tab character(s).
