As part of the project re-org in bug 320032 we need to update the JPT branding plug-ins. do we need a new org.eclipse.jpt.jpa.branding plugin? and do we keep org.eclipse.jpt.branding? Same questions for the jpt.eclipselink.branding plug-in. Some of the branding plug-ins don't even have the component.xml file.

We currently maintain 1 branding plugin per feature, so the current jpt branding plugin should be renamed to jpt.jpa.  jpt.eclipselink should be renamed to jpt.jpa.eclipselink.  There is no need to keep a jpt branding plugin.

Missing component.xml's should be investigated.

Branding plug-in does not have component.xml file because it does not have an "eclipse component". The feature is there only for a run config component e.g. schemagen
