1) I used Team>Share to create a git repo inside my project.
2) Then I used the Git Repository Explorer to create a bare repo.
3) then I Pushed from my project repo to the new bare repo.
4) Then I configured origin on my project git repo and set push/fetch to the bare repo.

When I tried a pull from the bare repo, I get:
